Remembering Clarence Heideman

We were so saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Clarence on Tuesday.

Clarence and Martha Heideman have been stalwart supporters of Camp Mishewah from the very beginning, serving and contributing to the life of the camp in countless ways for over 50 years! Clarence was Mishewah’s winter custodian for many years, keeping a watchful eye on the camp during the off-seasons. Clarence will be remembered for his tireless work around camp, maintaining the grounds and especially helping to keep the property critter-free; for his great sense of humour and bright smile, always quick with a joke or story; and for his warm hugs and delicious fish frys, among so many other things! Though visits to camp grew less frequent over the last few years, we loved the opportunity to spend time visiting with Clarence and Martha at the Mishewah Jubilee last summer, hearing their countless stories and still-passionate hearts for the ministry of camp!

Clarence will be missed by so many at Mish, but we take hope and joy in the knowledge that we will see him again. Much love to Martha and family, from your friends at Camp Mishewah.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Mishewah (https://mishewah.ecmcamps.ca/donations/).

Visitation will take place on Sunday, and the funeral on Monday. Find more details at https://www.nevillefuneralhome.ca/…/clarence…/5186605
